Goliad is one of the most historic towns in South Texas — Presidio La Bahia, Mission Espíritu Santo, the courthouse square, Goliad State Park. Goliad-specific notes

Goliad has its own quirks worth knowing. First: the historic district downtown has a lot of homes from the 1920s and 30s, many with original slabs that were poured thin and without modern reinforcement. Replacing those while preserving the look of the historic home takes care — we'll pour to look right against an older brick or wood-frame building, not slap a glaringly new slab next to a 100-year-old porch. Second: properties closer to the San Antonio River bottoms (south side of town) have higher water tables and clay-heavy base, so we typically spec extra base material and a heavier reinforcement schedule. Third: if you've got a property out on a Goliad County road (not in town proper), driveway aprons have to be poured to match the existing road grade and drain to the swale — we've handled enough of these to spec the apron accordingly.

For patio additions in Goliad, the most common projects are back patios for outdoor living (especially on the new-construction side of town), shed pads (because most county lots have the room), and stamped overlays on existing slabs the homeowner doesn't want to tear out. We pour all three.
